At the Healing Point Acupuncture Clinic, I practice a style of acupuncture called "The Balance Method," created by Dr. Richard Tan. I specialize in Pain Management and Stress reduction. In Chinese Medicine, we think of pain as Qi (ch'i or "life-force") being stuck in the body. My treatment goal is to balance the flow of Qi, reducing the level of pain in the body. Often, significant reductions in pain are experienced quite quickly.

The first treatment includes a detailed interview which can last up to two hours. Follow up treatments generally last about one hour. I prefer to see patients with acute symptoms about three times per week and reduce the frequency of treatments as the patient improves. I use Seirin Needles, considered to be the most pain free needles in the industry and have a very gentle touch. All of the needles I use are disposable and used one time only. Patients often fall asleep during the treatment, and leave the clinic feeling much more relaxed.

I have a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from The International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I am licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners and certified by the National Certification for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I am also a member of the Oregon Acupuncture Association. I recently completed a 400 hour mentorship locally and very fortunate to have studied with Dr. Richard Tan.
